More about Ireland

Top Ireland Destinations to visit

Ireland has been designated by the UN as the UNESCO City of Literature because of a large number of Noble laureates in literature. Also dubbed as “The Emerald Isle”, the country is home to many sites and places that will surely leave you dazzled for the times to come.

It’s said that you cannot experience the true magic of Ireland in one go. However, we have a list of 4 destinations that should be enough to give you the feel of the country if you’ve limited travel time.

1.   Grafton Street

Dublin is known for many things and Grafton Street is one of them. It is a great place to shop, take in the ambiance of daily Irish life, and relish the local cafe culture.

If you visit it in the evening, don’t forget to enjoy the chatty services of the shoppers. In the morning, however, make yourself at home with fancy Irish breakfasts.

2.   The Ring of Kerry

Start from Kenmare ending on the picturesque cliffs of The Ring of Kerry if you’re in Kerry. It takes three hours to complete the 111-mile journey and a whole of attention to stare at the azure sea beyond. That stare is famous for relieving your worries, so do not skip this at all costs.

3.   The Rock of Cashel

This heritage site is termed as the face of Ireland. Although a medieval structure, the Rock of Cashel still stands in all its grandeur for the visitors to take a peek into its glorious past.

It is a conundrum of buildings from the 12th, 15th, and 13th centuries that you cannot miss. Queen Elizabeth II also didn’t miss it.

4.   Kinsale

A small town sprawling at the sides of the sea, the Kinsale has deep roots in history. It was here that the Spanish forces had engaged with the British and Irish forces until it was sent back defeated.

Although it doesn’t boast the usual war remnants, it does, however, allow tourists to bask in the sunlight and swim, sail, or fish.
