About Verona

Verona is the city of Rome (Rome in detail)o and Juliet, the figures of eternal love. The name Verona being featured in one of the best Shakespearean works has made this place far more famous. You can also get Romeo and Juliet postcards, mugs, tea-towels, sliding pens and many other things here. But it surely has so many other things to offer. The city of Verona is an important trade centre. Wine is the main revenue to the city. The most important attraction of this art city is "The Arena". Another attraction includes Palazzo Forti, which is a Modern Art Gallery. From ancient churches to antique masterpieces, Verona has got a lot to offer. Airport at Verona is called Aeroporto Valerio Catullo. This airport is located at Villafranca to the southwest of Verona. To experience the joy of watching a lake, Verona has got Lake Garda to offer. The attractions of Verona which you should not be missing are listed below: Teatro Romano - This is the roman theatre situated in a panoramic spot over the river Adige from the town centre. It also houses the town's archaeological museum. Piazza Bra - This famous square is a large open space which also houses "the Arena". The high arched structure is well-preserved and is open to the public. Many events, concerts and operas are organized in this Arena. The Arena - This is smaller than Rome's Coliseum and stands in the center of the old part of the city. This monument was built in 1 AD by the Romans. The arena is said to have witnessed gruesome and barbaric clashes between several gladiators and vicious beasts. Piazza Erbe - This square is the perfect get away for those looking for more than a satisfying palette. Various restaurants and bars are scattered across this square.
